Five artists at work in Paris during the early 1960s. Jean Dewasne, works in pure, primary colors; diTeana works on his steel sculptures; Fruhtunk bands orange to black, the colors playing as a Bach fugue; Hans Hartung, one of the most important influences on abstract art, slashes away the pigment as the painting takes form; Weisbuch continuing the Daumier tradition, “color is not more important than line.” Narrated by Richard L. Grossman.
